Teachers use curriculum in all content and developmental areas as a flexible framework for teaching and to support the development of daily plans and learning experiences.
Our curriculum provides the framework that shapes our investigations as well as our daily interactions with children. Our investigations supports the learning process as they are encouraged to build on prior knowledge through inquiry, observation, and exploration. During our Flying Machine Investigation children inquired about hot air balloons.We then conducted an experiment to demonstrate how hot air balloon fly. The planning document for this event is here.

Play is planned for each day.
In the Tree House we believe that children learn through their play. The daily schedule is filled with ample opportunities for children to develop play skills. During choice time the entire classroom is open for children to explore. Outside, children develop pretend play, gross motor and simple rule based games. During work time children are provided with more structured activities as well as block play, pretend play, sensory play, and table top toys such as math manipulatives, legos, and puzzles.

Teachers offer children opportunities to engage in classroom experiences with members of their families.
Families are always welcome in the Tree House. In the past, parents have visited to read books, shared cultural stories and activities, and run activities such as gardening.
